Pumpkin Glow: Handmade Fall Lamp
There’s something about fall evenings that calls for a warm, glowing light. This new lamp design of mine is inspired by the season itself, part pumpkin lantern, part cozy accent piece, and fully handmade.
The Design
The base is finished in a black metallic flake paint, giving it a subtle shimmer, almost like candlelight catching on glitter. It feels both elegant and festive, perfect for the autumn season. On top sits the pumpkin-shaped lampshade, printed with soft geometry that glows like carved lanterns at dusk.
When switched on, the lamp radiates a golden-orange warmth that fills the room with atmosphere. In the dark, it gives off the same cozy vibes as a pumpkin sitting on the porch, only without the carving mess.
Why a Pumpkin Lamp?
I wanted to create something that wasn’t just seasonal décor, but a functional, everyday lamp with a touch of whimsy. Pumpkins are such a core symbol of fall, harvest, comfort, Halloween nights, and translating that into a glowing design felt natural.
Plus, this piece works well beyond October. It’s a fall lamp, yes, but it could also live year-round as a quirky conversation piece or accent light.
Handcrafted Details
- Base: 3D designed and painted in a deep black metallic flake.
- Shade: Pumpkin-inspired globe design, glowing orange when lit.
- Size: A compact table lamp perfect for nightstands, end tables, or entryways.
- Light: Works with standard E27 LED bulbs (I recommend a warm white for the best pumpkin effect).
